This movie sees Amanda Bynes as Viola Johnson, in this film she poses as her twin brother while he’s away. She does this to prove to her ex that girls can play soccer to and to get close to her new crush. Complication happens when her twin returns too early and she also has keep playing her twin and going back to herself. The ending of the film sees her revealing herself to Duke as Viola not her twin brother and proving that girls have what it takes to be on an all-boys team. This class help me understand this film by showing me readings that made me understand that women will do whatever it takes to be respected by men. This class also help me see that women willing to prove whatever a man can do they can also do. Looking back at this film I didn’t understand why she was trying so hard to prove herself, but this class showed me that women will always try twice as men for what they believe in. What I took away from this film is don’t ever doubt a female if you haven’t seen their skill. And, it’s easy for a man to prove himself if try but a woman must go above and beyond to be impressive. This is a men center world and females must show they can compete with men before they can earn their respect is the understanding, I got from this film in all. -Melvin
